Over the past fourteen years our company has become specialists in the marketing of top quality Nordmann Christmas Trees.

For six years we sent Nordmann Christmas Trees to Spain for family, friends and business acquaintances as presents and we found that everyone who saw thr trees was praising their beauty and asking where they could obtain one.

We did some research as to the likely demand and the ability of these trees to maintain their qualities in the Spanish climate in December. We were delighted by the results in both cases.

Three years ago we decided to offer Nordmann Christmas Trees to the public on the Costa Blanca and opened our site at Toscal Garden Centre

This tree will be available from our sales area at Viveros Toscal, Cami Cabanes, Javea from November 28th. We will also have available a selection of attractive water retaining tree stands and buckets. We will provide all our customers with precise instructions on the care of their Nordmann Christmas Tree to ensure it remains fresh throughout the Christmas period.

Demand is going to be high for these trees so we are advising customers to Email, fax or telephone to reserve your tree. We will not ask for a deposit but reserved trees will be required to be collected by 13th December.

The Nordmann Christmas Tree Company is an associated company of DRP Limited based in Bedfordshire, England.

We are one of the best known distributors of real Christmas tress in the UK, having been established for 24 years and are members of The British Christmas Tree Growers Association.

We are supplying Christmas trees of all varieties and sizes in pots, on logs, with roots, without roots etc., to garden centres throughout the whole of the UK including Jersey, Guernsey and The Isle of Man.

The Christmas tree industry has changed dramatically over the last fifteen years or so. There used to be only one main type of tree available to the consumer which was the old fashioned “Norway Spruce”. It was readily available, with or without roots, usually fairly cheap and more often than not, of poor quality.

Since then science and technology have moved on in leaps and bounds within the industry and some new varieties have evolved, some more popular than others, for various reasons.

Without any shadow of doubt the Christmas tree that has leapt ahead in popularity is the ‘Nordmannianna’ simply known as ‘Nordmann’.

The Nordmann, originating in Denmark, is now by far the best selling Christmas tree throughout Europe and sales increase every year. In line with market demand, more and more professional commercial growers are planting Nordmann in place of varieties that are suffering from lack of demand; even growers in other countries, particularly Scotland and Germany have turned their production to the Nordmann.

The Nordmann has shot to fame on the back of its ability to retain its needles, its wonderful bluey green colour and its fresh look throughout the Christmas period and beyond. The secret is to ensure that the tree can keep drinking water.

For various reasons, there is a drastic shortage of Nordmanns occurring throughout Europe. One being the growing conditions over recent years, another being subsidy changes for E.U. growers and the other being huge demand for a very desirable product.
Prices will inevitably increase but  demand seems to be ever increasing because of the beauty of these trees and their advantage of retaining their needles.
